Mood swings? |

I have been taking topa for about three months and have noticed that my migraines have significantly decreased =) Unfortunately I have also been experiencing
awful mood swings. Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this? I really don't want to have to stop taking this drug, it is the only thing that has
worked for me! Is there a mood stabilizer I could take or something that could help?

Are you still titrating? If so, hang in there
long enough for your body to adjust. If not, others have asked their Doctor for an adjunct medicine such as Wellbutrin. It's good that you've caught
the moodiness now. Ask you Doctor for help.
I'm sure the other Topa Trip members will have better answers for you. |

Lots of our members take mood stabilizers in addition to Topa. Odd isn't it? Topa is actually prescribed as a mood stabilizer. We all react differently
to Topa. I glad it's helping your migraines!

I definately would talk to your doctor about it. My neuro doc says its a very common side effect.
