Mr. Joy, my sweet little rooster, is enjoying some long deserved attention for his charitable activities.
He's had a huge article in the local paper, been on local radio, local news and may be on a certain NBC morning show very soon. See it all, including a video of his bath & blow dry here |

Oh my! What a hoot! I loved the photos, but the video was wonderful. It was so funny to see Mr. Joy enjoying the dryer. You have a calm & gentle way with him.

That is the cutest chicken therapist I have ever seen!! Wait, I've never seen one before. LOL. We do have a black and white rabbit called Stormy...

OMG! That was just too funny! I loved the bath. I can't even blow dry my dog and there you are blow drying a chicken and he's loving it! I had to show the whole office and they were rolling.
When I was growing up my grandma had bantams, but she always called them bannies. But they were mean as snakes and chased you like crazy. I had a great fear of those little rascals. Did Mr. Joy need a Xanax after that lady with the extra long fingernails held him? I bet he thought he was looking at a lot of long chicken beaks closing in on him. :-) Thanks for sharing. I love Mr. Joy!
give him tons of love for me. I am so sorry that you have to see those awful trucks everyday!! the videos on factory farming are horrid and after seeing only 1 i became a vegetarian. the fast food restaurant Mr. Joy hands out fliers at is probably the biggest and worst culprit of animal cruelty there is. Good for you and Mr. Joy; not only for educating people on cruelty, but also for the love you share with other people. You are a wonderful person. |

Mr. Joy loves his nursing home visits and they adore him.
We visited with a lady in hospice care today. I put Mr. Joy by her shoulder and gave him some corn so he'd cluck and she reacted (she'd been non responsive all day). |
